Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Facility: WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Holiday Rotation: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • Floating: May be asked to float to rehab as needed
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Facility Policy: Tobacco and fragrance-free environment

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Electronic Medical Record: EPIC experience required

Screening & Interview Process

  • Clinical screening to determine fit and compliance with guidelines
  • Final interview with the manager

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

  • 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start (results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start)
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Child Abuse History Clearance (PA Childline Search) required within 5 years, results must be on file within 45 days of start

Certifications & Verifications

  • State nursing license primary source verification
  • NURSYS verification for RN license
  • Education verification (highest level of education)
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (required for all RNs except OR and Home Health)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail)

Health Documents

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
    • TDAP within 10 years
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
    • Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
  • Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

  • Passport-style photo for badge (professional appearance, solid light background)
  • Signed agreements:
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
  • WellSpan Health Medical Statement (non-employee ability to work) within 90 days of start
  • Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
  • Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
  • Completion of WellSpan Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
  • New Hire Orientation to be completed by end of first day

  • Two professional references within 3 years
