Travel RN - Case Management
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: Case Management RN (917)
- Setting: CPCU (Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, 3rd floor) and PCU (Progressive Care Unit, 4th floor - step down units)
- Beds: CPCU - 14 beds, PCU - 14 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:14
- Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- EMR Systems: Meditech and Midas
Job Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Case Management
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Certifications: BLS
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Preferred Experience:
- HCA hospital experience
- Midas and HCA case management experience
- Must Have:
- RN or Licensed Social Worker
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Job Description
- Perform case management assessments
- Discharge planning
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and constantly changing environment
- Collaborate with a welcoming and supportive case management team
- Work closely with consistent physicians and mid-level providers
- CPCU focuses on cardiac step-down patients including CABG and TAVR patients
- PCU manages a variety of medical step-down patients
- Some patients require post-acute placements, many go home with cardiac rehab
