Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Infusion RN)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Job Description

• Administer infusion and injections for chemotherapies, blood products, and supportive care.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shift (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
• Licenses required: Wisconsin or Compact Nursing License.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Local candidates accepted (at a lower rate).

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) – preferred.
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification – preferred.

Additional certifications that may be relevant or required depending on specialty or role:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – as required.
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions; must be renewed annually.

Background and Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start; updated annually. Includes SS trace, county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled, nationwide sex offender check.
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening search required (completed online by QM or agency).

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year of start (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable).
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March).

Additional Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
• Color Blind Testing (required for dialysis/kidney center roles).
• Competency exams as applicable to specialty.
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters).
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start.
• References: Two professional references verified within 2 years of start. For inpatient RNs (MS, MS/Tele, IMC, Stepdown, ICU), one reference must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments.
• Annual skills checklist required.

Notes

• This position is not open to first-time travel nurses.
• Locals are accepted but at a lower pay rate.
