• Department: Telemetry
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly adult
• Equipment Used: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner (preferred skill)
• Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac specialty (highest required)
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Cerner EHR
• Personality Fit: Family-oriented unit

Additional Information

• Common diagnoses and treatments include chest pain, atrial fibrillation (A-fib), congestive heart failure (CHF), pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial), and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
• Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable.
• No specific call requirements or unacceptable attire noted.
