Travel RN - Emergency Department

Location: Portland, Maine
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Emergency Nursing
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Nights
Weekly Hours: 48 hours guaranteed (some weeks 36 hours)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
Float Requirements: Must be able to float to all areas within the Emergency Department

Unit Information

Department: Emergency Department
Number of Beds: 60+
Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:6
Patient Population: Acute adult and pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses
Equipment: Phillips monitors, VS monitors, EKG machine
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Certifications & Education

Maine State Nursing License (ability to practice in Maine)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
CPI or similar workplace violence training
Education modules consistent with Emergency Department skillset

Skills & Experience

Must Have: Experience in inpatient Med-Surg and/or Emergency Department technician role
Preferred: Emergency nursing experience
Personality Fit: Good communicator, ambitious, and team-oriented
