    Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job in Apple Valley, California

    Job Details

      • Must be open to all shift times (cannot accommodate specific shift requests)
      • Self-scheduling based on seniority
      • CT start times: 0600, 0800, 1500, 1700
      • Ratios: 1:1
      • Weekend requirement: Pending
    • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
    • First-timers Accepted: Yes
    • On-call: No call required
    • Floating: No floating between units
    • Block Schedule: May be accommodated per unit need
    • Pending License: Not accepted
    • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once every two-week pay period
    • Charting System: Epic
    • Parking: Free parking available
    • Scrub Colors:
      • RNs: Navy Blue
      • L&D/OR: Provided

    Required Certifications

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • ARRT Advanced
    • CA CRT (California Certified Radiologic Technologist)
    • CT Certification

    Licensure

    • Must have a valid California professional license (CPDH Certificate required for RTs working in CA)
    • Pending licenses are not accepted

    Experience & References

    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
    • Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years (6 months for CNAs)
    • References must be from supervisors who directly oversaw the candidate

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
    • Education verification required for all candidates
    • State-specific searches required for Washington and Oregon placements (not applicable here)
    • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health documents required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually)

    Training and Competency Requirements

    • Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
      • Core modules for profession
      • Specialty-specific modules as applicable
      • Annual regulatory requirements
    • Epic training modules required (completion and transcript submission)
    • Competency exams as applicable by profession/specialty
    • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Color blind testing may be required on a unit basis

    Additional Notes

    • Locals accepted at the same rate
    • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions must be included at submission
    • Facility provides badge photo requirements and other onboarding documentation
    • No call or floating required, but block scheduling may be accommodated based on unit needs

    This position is ideal for Radiology/Cardiology professionals with at least 1 year of experience who are flexible with shift times and ready to start immediately in an acute care hospital setting in California.
