Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab - Illinois (Evanston)

Position Details

  • Specialty: RN Cath Lab

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Call Requirements:
    • OR/IR coverage
    • Call every 3rd weekend
    • At least 16 on-calls in a 6-week period

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
  • Serve as primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
  • Follow physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Nursys license verification.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred.

Prior Travel Experience

  • Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC (within 60 days of start)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 vaccines plus booster or declination completed
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Influenza Vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • TB Test: Within one year of start date
  • Varicella: Vaccination or titer showing immunity
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Physical/Health Statement: Must state clear to work (annually or within 60 days of start)
  • Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test completed prior to start (no onsite testing in IL)

Exams and Checklists (Required for Onboarding)

  • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Prime Skills Checklist (required for submission)
  • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
  • DCI/BVP training for Workplace Violence Prevention
