Travel RN Opportunity - Louisville, Kentucky

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Mixed Acuity Unit
  • Location: Louisville, KY
  • Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Number of Openings: 1

Experience & Certifications

  • Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Required Certifications: BLS, NIH, Kentucky Nursing License
  • Float Requirements: Yes – must be able to float to PCU or Med Surg units

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Mixed Acuity – General Overflow
  • Number of Beds: 17
  • Patient Ratios: 5:1 (higher patient ratios experience required)
  • Equipment Used: Dynamaps, glucometers, IV and SCD pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanners, cardiac monitoring, Provizio SEMs scanner
  • EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Cardiac drips (gtts) and telemetry experience
  • Ability to manage higher patient ratios (5-6 patients per nurse)

Dress Code

  • Scrubs required: Galaxy Blue top with black or galaxy blue bottoms
  • White or gray undershirts allowed
