Travel RN Opportunity - Louisville, Kentucky
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Mixed Acuity Unit
- Location: Louisville, KY
- Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Number of Openings: 1
Experience & Requirements
- Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2+ years
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- Required Certifications: BLS, NIH, Kentucky Nursing License
- Float Requirements: Yes – must be able to float to PCU or Med Surg units
- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Cardiac drip (gtts) management
- Telemetry monitoring
- Experience managing higher patient ratios (5-6 patients per nurse)
- Patient Ratios: 5:1
- Unit Type: Mixed Acuity – General Overflow
- Personality Fit: Friendly, team player, critical thinker, self-motivated, flexible

Dress Code
- Scrubs: Galaxy Blue top with black or galaxy blue bottoms
- Undershirt: White or gray allowed
- Note: Must wear scrubs; no unacceptable attire specified
Additional Information
- No ICU nurses unless they have experience with higher patient ratios
- Unable to accommodate travel pairs at this time
This role is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with mixed acuity patients and higher patient loads, seeking a travel assignment in a well-equipped academic medical center environment.
