Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract Opportunity

Location: Arlington, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position for an ARRT Registered CT Technologist
• Start: ASAP (pending VA license or proof of VA license application)
• Weekend shifts: Friday to Sunday, 07:00 - 19:00
• Facility performs approximately 130 visits/day with 3 rooms available

Requirements

• ARRT Registered CT Technologist
• Valid Virginia license OR proof of VA license application plus active license from another state
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT technology (highest required years of experience)
• Previous experience with GE or Siemens scanners and PACS
• BLS certification required
• Experience with imaging and procedures including:

  • Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Head (with and without contrast)
  • Starting Peripheral IVs
  • Brain perfusion
  • Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Vascular CTA
  • Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic imaging
• Epic experience preferred; online Epic class provided on day 1
• First-time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience NOT required)

Certifications & Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) – confirm with program management
• Must complete background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification
• Must complete required competency exams and core training annually
• Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for CT Techs
• Fit mask test within last 12 months required (exceptions apply)
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations and titers:

  • Flu vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with medical/religious exemptions allowed
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella titers or vaccinations

Onboarding & Facility Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start, including:

  • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
  • Code of Ethics
  • Dress Code
  • Hand Hygiene and Infection Control manuals and post-tests
  • Parking forms and policies
  • Vendor Access Request (VAR) and background check through HireRight
• Must provide government-issued photo ID and clear passport-style photo for badge
• Must complete physical exam within 1 year prior to start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Must complete online and/or onsite Epic training modules as required

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccine is mandatory during flu season unless approved exemption is provided
• Candidate must wear both agency and facility badges at all times
• Facility has strict policies on confidentiality, safety, and infection control that must be acknowledged before starting
• This is a travel/contract position with a defined 13-week duration
