    Location: Petaluma, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (CT and X-Ray experience required)
    • Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
    • Shift: Variable start times (7:00 AM or 11:30 AM)
    • Floating: Required to float between like units

    Certifications Required (Verify with Unit/Department)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • Chemotherapy Certification (if applicable)
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification (if applicable)
    • State Professional License (CPDH Certificate required for RTs in CA)
    • IV Certification (if applicable)
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
    • NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)

    Note: Certification requirements may vary by unit and should be verified with the clinical track or unit documentation.


    Required Background and Compliance Documents

    • I9 Attestation
    • Government-Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
    • Social Security Card (for WA state OBRA search if applicable)
    • E-Verify Attestation
    • Background Check (within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM Check (updated monthly)
    • HHS/OIG Check (updated monthly)
    • Education Verification (3rd party verification required for all candidates)
    • State-Specific Searches (e.g., WA State Patrol Search, OBRA Registry for CNAs in WA)
    • Providence-specific floating policy acknowledgment (may require floating to other Providence facilities)

    Health and Safety Requirements

    • Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
    • Fit Mask Test (annual, travel only)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap Vaccine (within 10 years or declination)
    • Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray (annual update required)
    • MMR Vaccines or Positive Titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella
    • Hepatitis B Vaccination or Declination
    • Varicella Vaccination or Positive Titer
    • 10 Panel Drug Screen (within 90 days of start)
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccine or Declination (required during flu season)
    • COVID Vaccine or Declination
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual for travel candidates)

    Note: Non-clinical or remote workers may have modified requirements.


    Competency and Skills Requirements

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
    • Color Blind Testing (if required by unit)
    • Competency Exams (as applicable by specialty)
    • Skills Checklist (annual update required for applicable units)
    • Medication Aide Exam (for CNAs in LTC Oregon Assisted Living facilities)

    Training and Modules

    • Completion of Providence WorkRamp Core and Specialty Modules as assigned based on region, profession, and specialty
    • Epic Access Training Modules (required for clinical staff in certain regions)
    • Annual Regulatory Modules (system-wide compliance training)

    References and Employment History

    • Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format for dates worked
    • Clarification required for any gaps or overlaps in employment

    Additional Notes

    • Floating between units is required
    • First-time travelers are accepted
    • Pending licenses are not accepted
    • Background checks and certifications must be current and compliant with Providence Health and Services policies
    • Compliance with all Providence-specific policies and training modules is mandatory

    This position offers an opportunity to work in a short-term acute care setting with a focus on radiology and cardiology imaging, requiring CT and X-Ray experience, and flexibility to float between units.
