Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D) - Travel/Contract
Location: Prince Frederick, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Certifications Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for L&D
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Not required for L&D
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Not required for L&D

- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
- Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 90 days of start, updated annually, including SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, OFAC
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start, updated for renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start, updated for renewals
- National Sex Offender Search (separate from background check)
- OFAC Sanctions List Search (separate from background check)
- State License Primary Source Verification
- NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)
- Physical Exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start (RespSafety Clearance required if fit testing onsite)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (updated annually)
- Rubeola (Measles) - Titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps - Titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella - Titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B - Titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella - Titer or 2 vaccines
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Flu Vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (9/11/23 - 3/31/24)
- References: Minimum 3 current clinical references required
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable unit
- Competency Exams: Medication Test/Pharmacology and Core Competency Exams required
Additional Notes
- Floating is required between like units but not to sister facilities.
- Locals within the same radius are accepted.
- No block scheduling accommodations.
- Weekend shifts are required.
- On-call shifts are not required.
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
- Performance evaluations and internal evaluations are requested if available but not mandatory.
- Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure are not applicable for L&D.
This position is ideal for experienced L&D nurses with at least 2 years of specialty experience who are comfortable working night shifts and weekend requirements in a travel/contract role.
