Description
Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: San Jose, California
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Number of Cath Lab Rooms: 4
- Number of Staff: 20 RNs
- Staff Mix: 2 RNs and 2 RTs per room
- Daily Staffing: 8–9 RNs
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Night Shift: On call only
- Patient Ratios: 2 RNs + 2 RTs per patient during procedures
- Equipment Used: GE and Philips systems
- EMR System: MacLab - Meditech
Required Skills and Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current RN license
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
- Fluoroscopy License
Preferred Skills
- Neuro and Electrophysiology experience
Typical Procedures
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
- Heart Catheterizations
- Peripheral procedures
- A-fib/Flutter, SVT, VT interventions
- Stroke and complex Neuro interventions
Work Environment and Expectations
- Teamwork-oriented environment
- Floating area includes recovery of cath lab patients
- Scrubs provided by hospital
- On-call rotation as needed

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
