Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: San Jose, California
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Cath Lab Rooms: 4
Number of Staff: 20 RNs
Staff Mix: 2 RNs and 2 RTs per room
Daily Staffing: 8–9 RNs
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Night Shift: On call only
Patient Ratios: 2 RNs + 2 RTs per patient during procedures
Equipment Used: GE and Philips systems
EMR System: MacLab - Meditech

Required Skills and Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Current RN license
Cath Lab Tech Certification
Fluoroscopy License

Preferred Skills

Neuro and Electrophysiology experience

Typical Procedures

Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
Heart Catheterizations
Peripheral procedures
A-fib/Flutter, SVT, VT interventions
Stroke and complex Neuro interventions

Work Environment and Expectations

Teamwork-oriented environment
Floating area includes recovery of cath lab patients
Scrubs provided by hospital
On-call rotation as needed
