Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role primarily involves delivering care to an adult patient population. The position aligns with the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry Care.
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population including patients with Myocardial Infarction (MI), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), strokes, stable arrhythmias, and other patients requiring close cardiac monitoring and assessment.
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, typically acquired through completion of at least 2 years of education at an accredited School of Nursing.

Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in nursing (based on education requirement).

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Certifications & Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Wisconsin or a Multi-state Nursing License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or an equivalent.
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an equivalent.
