    Description

    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Modesto, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Required Certifications & Skills

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course
    • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - Typically required for Labor & Delivery; AWHONN certification valid for 2 years
    • Circulate OR experience

    Experience Requirements

    • Specialty: Registered Nurse
    • Required Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for travel RN roles unless otherwise specified

    Background Checks & Verifications

    • State-specific Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List search if FACIS III cannot be run

    Licenses & Certifications Verification

    • State License: Primary source online verification within 30 days of start
    • NURSYS Verification for RN license within 30 days of start
    • Other certifications as applicable (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, CPI) to be verified by position

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must indicate "cleared for work")
    • Fit Mask Test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
    • Immunizations:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
      • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, completed series, or signed declination
      • Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
      • Seasonal Flu Vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)

    Competency Exams

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam may be required for some units
    • Other unit-specific competency exams as required

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Full 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days; employment verification required
    • Unit-specific skills checklist, renewed annually
    • Required facility-specific documents to review and sign prior to start, including:
      • Job Description
      • Standards of Business Conduct
      • General Regulatory Orientation
      • Vendor Training and Code of Conduct (2024 and 2025 versions)
      • Overpayment Refund Policy
      • TB Questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
      • Request for Religious Accommodation Form (if applicable)
      • Epic Questionnaire (RN only, required for new candidates starting 11/3/2025 and onward)

    Additional Notes

    • Candidates with religious exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and receive approval.
    • Failed fit tests due to facial hair require shaving and retesting; other failures may require PAPR training.
    • References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates (Aya requirement only, not required by client).
    • Negative drug screen excludes marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law effective 1/1/2024.
