Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Night shift, every other week (EOW), including holidays
Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
Job Description
- RN needed for the Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU)
- Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) days (must be included on submission)
- EMR system used: Cerner
- Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Stepdown Unit nursing
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years recent Stepdown experience (highest required years of experience)
- Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Skills:
- Foley Management (Intermediate/Advanced)
- Telemetry
- IV Start
Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (color copy required)
- Background Check: 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Education Verification: Diploma or transcript required
- NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
- Physical Exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
- TB Testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
- Immunizations or Titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
- References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months
- Competency Exams and Annual Training: Medication/Pharmacology competency, Core Parts I-III, OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission training
Additional Notes
- Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted as travelers
- Local rate applies for candidates living within 31-50 miles
- Facility-specific onboarding modules must be completed prior to the first day
- Photo for badge required within 24 hours of signing (passport-style, no selfies)
- Fingerprinting: Georgia GCHEXS fingerprint results required for CNAs; process details provided for RNs as applicable
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs required; candidates must review dress code policy
This position is ideal for experienced Stepdown RNs looking for a 13-week travel assignment on night shift with a reputable healthcare facility in Georgia. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
