Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab) - Travel/Contract
Location: Olive Branch, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (subject to change during interview)
On-Call: Yes, STEMI call 8-12 days per month including 1 weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Weekend Requirement: As needed
Block Schedule: Not accommodated
Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule)
Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
- Years of Experience Required: 3 years OR 1 completed travel assignment
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract or have 3+ years experience)
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for Cath Lab
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs (except Le Bonheur Children's Hospital)
- Other Certifications:
- PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, and Tech Certifications are not required for this role unless specified by facility or specialty
Licensure
- Must have a valid state nursing license compliant with NLC guidelines
- No pending licenses accepted
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- Sex offender search required
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
- Two recent professional references required
- Internal evaluation required if employed with agency for 1 year or more
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted)
- Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (must pass without limitations)
- Immunizations required:
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Driver’s license must be included with submission
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses with glare, no facial piercings)
- Must comply with facility dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
