CT Technologist (CT Tech) - Louisville, Kentucky
Job Summary
The CT Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. This role requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, educating and responding to patient questions or concerns, and ensuring age-appropriate communication, safety, and patient education. The technologist also oversees and trains students providing patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify ordered exams and appropriateness using assessment data and growth/development principles.
- Administer contrast as directed.
- Position patients and equipment to achieve optimal images.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional images are needed.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Prepare patients professionally, educate them, and address concerns with an age-appropriate approach.
- Maintain infection control and quality control standards.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CT scanning experience
