Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department

Location: Martinsville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department RN
• Shift: Days (11 AM – 11 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As needed, every other weekend
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Population: All ages
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Number of Beds in Unit: 34
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in Virginia
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) / Handle with Care
  • NIH Certification
  • PALS or ENPC
• Experience: 2 years in Emergency Department (higher end of 1-2 years required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required

• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest Pain, CHF, COPD, Psychiatric cases
• Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Drug Screening: Random drug screens required on site
