Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
- Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (07:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Call Requirement: Yes, minimum 1 day per week and every 4th weekend
- Weekend Requirement: Call every 4th weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles away)
- Pending License: Accepted if application is submitted within 48 hours of offer acceptance
- Charting Systems: Cerner, Merge Hemo
- Scrub Color: Provided
Certifications & Licenses
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA only)
- BLS (AHA only)
- PALS (AHA only)
- NRP
- CHEMO (if applicable)
- TNCC
- EFM
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs)
- State License verification as applicable
- Other certifications as required by unit/job description
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
- Physical exam required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or Qgold accepted; T-Spot not accepted)
- TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually thereafter
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start (flu season October–May)
Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine required unless a medical or religious exemption is submitted and approved
- Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements and photo for badge
- Completion of facility-required modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start; paid for module completion
- On-site EKG exam required for Monitor Techs (if applicable)

- Travelers must be willing to relocate at least 50 miles from their current residence
