Sonographer Job Opportunity

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary Transitioned
Contract Length: 1 month

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years experience as a General Ultrasound/Sonographer (strong all-around skills)
• Must be able and willing to perform both pediatric and adult cases
• ARDMS (AB) certification required, plus one other advanced education discipline
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system required
• Proficiency with GE Logic equipment including:

  • General sonographic exams (abdomens, pelvis, small parts, joint effusion)
  • Pediatric exams (pediatric heads, intussusception, pyloric stenosis, spines)

Certifications Required

• ARDMS
• BLS (AHA)

Additional Information

• Must provide:

  • Work history/resume
  • Skills checklist (completed within 1 year)
  • License verification
  • Copies of required certifications
  • One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the last 2 years
  • Proof of taxable address (one of several acceptable documents)

• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours/week with billable overtime after 40 hours

• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)

• Limited time off allowed during late November and late December holiday periods

• Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses within the system
