Job Summary: RN-ICU (Float Pool)

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - ICU (Float Pool)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, holistic, and therapeutic nursing care to patients and families.
• Perform nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe and effective care.
• Promote quality outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members for complex or high-risk clinical situations.
• Serve as patient and family advocate to ensure excellent care and participation in decision-making.
• Assess patient and family needs, develop and implement culturally appropriate care plans.
• Evaluate patient and family progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Identify and address patient/family educational needs using adult-learning theory.
• Recognize communication barriers and seek interdisciplinary support to establish therapeutic relationships.
• Delegate and assign care within scope of practice to other healthcare team members.
• Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team and ancillary staff to optimize patient care and workflow.

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Valid California RN license
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification
