    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Modesto, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Requirements

    • Licenses & Certifications:
      • California RN license required
      • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification (AHA/AAP, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course)
    • Experience:
      • No explicit years of experience stated; assume standard RN experience required
    • Shift:
      • Rotating weekend shifts
    • Duties:
      • Attend deliveries

    Background Checks & Compliance

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
      • Social Security trace with all aliases
      • County searches for last 7 years of locations lived/worked/schooled
      • Nationwide sex offender search (within 90 days of start)
      • Education verification (highest level achieved, not required if high school)
      • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
      • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
    • Transcript/Diploma verification may be required if education verification is unsuccessful
    • Pending background check attestation generally not accepted for this facility

    Certifications & Competencies

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred; verify by position
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) may be required; verify by position
    • CCRN, TNCC, EFM certifications may be required depending on position
    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable
    • Competency exams (including Dysrhythmia/EKG) may be required depending on unit
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification may be required

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work)
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
    • Immunizations/vaccinations required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B series or declination signed
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Must provide 7 years of full work history with no gaps
    • Employment verification required for up to 7 years
    • Professional references required (Aya requirement, not facility)
    • Various facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start, including:
      • Job description
      • Standards of Business Conduct
      • General Regulatory Orientation
      • Vendor Training and Code of Conduct (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
      • Overpayment Refund Policy
      • TB Questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
      • Request for Religious Accommodation Form (if applicable)
    • Photo for badge required
