Travel Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- Level II trauma center
- Comprehensive stroke center
- Level III neonatal intensive care unit
- Pediatric emergency room with 30 pediatric subspecialists
- Busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas
- Only open heart and interventional cardiology in the region
- Recognized for high clinical quality and patient safety
Unit Information
- Department: Diagnostic Imaging (DX Radiology)
- Location: 2nd floor, F tower
- Number of Beds: 800
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
- Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
- Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
- Equipment: GE Rad rooms, Portable GE and Shiatzu, C-arms OEC, O-arms Medtronics
- EMR System: Cerner Rad Net
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology (highest required)
- Proficient in all areas of diagnostic radiology including portable and OR imaging
- Experience with ED trauma imaging required
- Fluoroscopic procedures experience preferred
- Typical procedures: Diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic, and surgical imaging
Certifications
- ARRT (R) Certification (mandatory)
- BLS Certification
Work Environment & Expectations
- Dress code: Black scrubs
- Weekend rotation required
- Team player who can work independently
- Self-motivated individual
