Job Summary

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position in San Francisco, CA. The role involves working 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with weekend rotation required. No on-call duties. Floating as needed.

Requirements

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • California RN License
  • BLS (AHA or ARC)
  • ACLS (AHA or ARC)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years ICU experience required
  • 4 years ICU experience preferred (use 4 years as requirement)
• Shift:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No on-call required
• Additional:

  • Floating as needed

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace with all aliases
  • County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide Sex Offender Search (within 90 days of start)
  • Education verification (highest level achieved)
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law)
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• Work history verification required for up to 7 years

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification required
• ICU RNs at this facility will be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start
• Other certifications may be verified as applicable (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, CPI)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work)
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana)
