    Job Summary: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Sacramento, California
    Contract Length: 9 weeks


    Job Description

    • Manage patient and family care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
    • Deliver quality, safe, efficient, and cost-effective nursing care.
    • Coordinate healthcare team activities professionally to promote a positive work environment.
    • Provide collaborative, evidence-based care meeting national and facility standards.
    • Ensure excellent patient and family experience aligned with organizational standards.
    • Foster positive relationships between healthcare system and community.

    Schedule

    • Monday through Friday
    • No weekend or on-call requirements

    Required Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of recent relevant Registered Nurse experience

    Certifications Required

    • California RN License
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on position
    • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, etc.) may be position-dependent and should be verified

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report (if applicable)
    • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list checks as applicable
    • Education verification (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
    • State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
    • Immunizations and health screenings including:
      • TB test or chest x-ray (annual renewal)
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
    • Respiratory safety clearance annually
    • Color blindness exam if applicable

    Documentation and Training

    • Must review and sign facility-specific documents including:
      • Job description
      • Standards of business conduct
      • Code of conduct
      • Vendor training (2024 and 2025 as applicable)
      • Overpayment refund policy
      • Regulatory orientation for contracted workers
      • Conditional offer of employment attestation
      • Religious accommodation forms if applicable
    • Competency exams as applicable (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG, telemetry, etc.)
    • Unit-specific skills checklist, renewed annually

    • Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps over 30 days
    • Employment verification for up to 7 years required
    • Professional references required (2 for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)
    • Personal or auto insurance required for all candidates working at this facility
