Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology RN

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or ICU with IR experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• AZ nursing license required
• PALS certification preferred if possible

Job Details

• Work setting: Radiology pre and post-procedural areas
• Patient care: Pre-op, PACU, recovery of patients post conscious sedation and general anesthesia
• Shift length: 9-10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Shift times: 0700-1730 or 0730-1800, with a day off during the week (approximately 36 hours/week)
• Occasional Saturdays (1-2 per month) and possible holiday coverage
• No call required
• Charge nurse responsibilities included

Clinical Environment & Equipment

• 5 Angio rooms, 2 CT scanners, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine
• Cases include: chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tubes, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT biopsies, ablations, US biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, neuro endovascular stroke treatment (RN will not work in neuro endovascular area, only body IR)
• EMR system: Cerner
• Support staff: IR techs, CT techs, Nuclear medicine techs, US techs
• Hospitalist or Intensivist on site
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• IV team support for PICC lines and difficult IV starts

Orientation & Additional Information

• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• Patient population: Outpatient and inpatient, critical care, telemetry
• Scrubs provided
• Telemetry and ventilator experience required
