Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights
Schedule: Every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Special Skills: Must be able to interpret and sign off tele strips
• Licenses: Wisconsin or Compact Nursing License required and must be in hand
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required and must be in hand before interviewing
  • NIH Stroke Certification required and must be renewed annually
• References:

  • Two supervisor references within the last year required
  • One reference must be from the most recent or current assignment
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Includes SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
• Additional Competencies:

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Color blind testing if working in dialysis/kidney center
  • General competency exams as applicable to specialty
• Facility Specific:

  • Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
  • Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of recent experience, comfortable working night shifts, and able to meet all licensure, certification, and health requirements.
