Job Opportunity: RN - PCU

Location: Plano, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit: PCU/StepDown (Progressive Care Unit)
  • Shift: Weekend, rotating
  • Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Call Requirements: Yes
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Floating Policy: As needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
  • Minimum 2 years of RN specialty experience in PCU/StepDown (Telemetry/PCU), including experience within the last year
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
  • Prior experience in Telemetry, PCU, or Stepdown units

Additional Information

  • Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs required
  • Nail Policy: Clean and healthy nails; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
  • Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; long hair must be pulled back when working in the lab
  • Facial Hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
  • Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible piercings elsewhere (e.g., nose, tongue)
  • Attendance and floating policies in effect
