Description
Job Opportunity: Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights)
Location: Mount Clemens, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures. Set up, monitor, and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor CT equipment per patient. Transfer and position patients using proper safety and lifting techniques. Apply immobilization devices as needed.
- Provide patient identification and obtain vital information including allergies and medical history.
- Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as per Radiologist protocols.
- Create and develop images for permanent patient files; record studies for future reference.
- Organize daily patient schedule in cooperation with work-room technician.
- Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment. Ensure proper equipment repair.
- Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying.
- Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately; assist with emergency medical situations including basic CPR.
- Follow safety standards and regulations as set by the Michigan Department of Public Health.
- Maintain cleanliness of work environment and ensure adequate supply inventory.
- Instruct new personnel as needed.
- Assist Radiologists and other specialists with specialized radiological procedures.
- Review and record patient history and clinical data to aid diagnosis.
- Maintain Registry compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assessments and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of CT experience (required).
- Technical Skills: Experience with Phillips CT equipment (required).
- Licensing: Michigan license verification required (if applicable).
- Traveler Experience: Preferred but not required.

- Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Center and a full range of specialized services.
