Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical (Spinal Cord Unit)
Location: Charlestown, Massachusetts

Job Description
- Registered Nurse needed for the Spinal Cord Unit
- Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
Required Specialty and Experience
- Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for Medical/Surgical RN roles (typically 1+ years)

Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS Certification: Required before onboarding (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)

Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days prior to start, updated annually
- MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines OR proof of immunity via blood test
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Optional but Preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity, Tdap vaccine within 10 years
Background and Compliance Checks
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years
- National Sex Offender Registry Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists within 30 days prior to start and annually
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- MGB Nurse Aide Registry check within 30 days of start
- MGB Spaulding Orientation Summary
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form upon acceptance and for extensions
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
- Education Verification (highest level achieved)
