Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Columbus, Ohio

Work Schedule & Location

• 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekends required
• Floating between campuses may be required
• No Return to Office (RTO) from 2/22 to 2/28

Required Certifications & Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
• High School Diploma and College Diploma or official transcripts required (Respiratory Therapy program)
• ACLS, BLS certifications may be required depending on unit
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required based on unit assignment
• State License verification required within 30 days of start

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ years typical for RRT roles
• Prior travel experience preferred (not strictly required)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
• Education accreditation verification required
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, THC, cocaine, opiates, etc.)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • TB questionnaire
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption possible)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccination not required but strongly recommended

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required; at least one must be from a manager/director or formal leadership
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Unit-specific competency exams including medication test/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (with remediation process if needed)

• Candidates must comply with facility-specific policies including dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
• Fingerprinting and background checks are time-sensitive and must be completed as per facility instructions

This position is ideal for respiratory therapists with solid clinical experience who are comfortable working travel contracts, floating between campuses, and meeting comprehensive compliance and credentialing requirements.
