Job Opportunity: Neuro Radiology Technologist (Perioperative Services Radiology)

Job Description

• Support complex Neuro Endovascular cases in the operating room.
• Hands-on use of multiple imaging/navigation systems guiding surgeons in head and spinal procedures.
• Assess daily technology needs related to scheduled procedures and ensure equipment readiness.
• Manage schedules and identify technology needs and conflicts.
• Assist physicians in brain and spine interventional cases such as:

  • Mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke
  • Brain aneurysm treatment
  • AVM/AVF treatment
  • Vertebral augmentation for compression fracture
  • Lumbar puncture for chemo administration
  • CT myelogram, and more.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room.
• Prep neurovascular and spine devices.
• Manipulate imaging systems.
• Use EPIC for case scheduling, understand billing and CPT codes.
• Post-process 2D and 3D imaging.
• Utilize contrast power injector.
• Pre-procedure: discuss cases with attending physicians, pull relevant products/devices, set up sterile field.
• Intra-procedure: triage imaging issues, maintain sterility, circulate for scrub personnel.
• Post-procedure: ensure images are transmitted to PACS, maintain equipment, complete post-processing and case documentation.

Required Certifications and Skills

• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with patient care/monitoring equipment and health system communication/computer systems.
• Experience with Image cast, SMS, Medview, and EPIC systems.

• Must have Neuro experience.
