Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW), includes holidays
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Job Details

• Unit: Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU)
• Minimum Experience: 3+ years recent Stepdown experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
• EMR System: Cerner
• Required Skills:

  • Foley Management (Intermediate/Advanced)
  • Telemetry
  • IV Start

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Licensure & Verification

• Must provide a valid Driver’s License for residence verification (travel vs local rate determination)
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs
• Primary source verification of state license required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted if EDV not verifiable)
• Employment application and references required (two recent supervisor/manager references)
• Performance and internal evaluations if previously worked with the facility over 1 year
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit test completed onsite at no cost
• TB testing: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided

Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of assigned HealthStream modules prior to first day
• Submission of a passport-style photo for badge within 24 hours of signing
• Completion of facility-specific forms including IS115 and IS119 (time sensitive, wet or DocuSign signature required)
• Review of facility dress code and flu exemption forms if applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted as travelers
• Local candidates living 31-50 miles may be accepted at local rate
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Fingerprinting requirements apply for CNAs only; not required for RNs in this role
