Nursing Contract Opportunity - State College, Pennsylvania

Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge using the nursing process.
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation of nursing measures, and evaluation of care effectiveness.
• Serve as a team member and liaison between patients and staff.
• Support and encourage harmonious communication.
• Maintain strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
• Communicate professionally at all times.
• Demonstrate high mental and emotional tolerance, using tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and co-workers.
• Preference given to candidates with EPIC patient charting experience.
• Report to Unit Director/Manager or, in their absence, to Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator during assigned shifts.

Requirements

• Specialty: Nursing (Registered Nurse)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous RN experience required.
• Licensure: Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Certifications: Must meet American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew BLS certification every two years.
