Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift/Hours: 4x10 hour days (07:00 - 17:30)
Start Date: 02/02/2026
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience if ARRT-R certified
- Minimum 2 years of experience if RCIS certified
- Prior travel experience required (will not accept first-time travelers)
Licenses & Certifications Required
- RCIS or ARRT-R
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Work Schedule & On-Call
- Holidays as scheduled
- One weekend per month required (inclusive of on-call)
- One day per week on-call plus one weekend per month on-call

- Coronary artery disease (CAD)
- Myocardial infarction (MI)
- Post-cardiac arrest
- Pre/post-transplant
- Cardiogenic shock
- Heart failure
- Atrial septal defect (ASD), Patent foramen ovale (PFO), Ventricular septal defect (VSD)
- Pericardial effusion and tamponade
- Pulmonary hypertension (PHTN)
- Pre-surgical cases
- Aortic stenosis, mitral and tricuspid regurgitation

- Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Chronic total occlusion (CTO)
- PFO and ASD closure
- Coronary atherectomy
- Pericardiocentesis
- Aortic valvuloplasty

- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
- Mitraclip and Triclip procedures
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement
- Impella placement

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I9 or Attestation

- Background checks including 7-year criminal search, SSN trace, nationwide, sex offender, OFAC, education verification
- Maryland State Exclusions List check
- Physical exam within 1 year including Latex Screen
- Fit mask test within 1 year
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (as applicable)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations
- Hepatitis B titer or declination (series not accepted)
- Flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption (seasonal requirement)
- Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel depending on facility) within 30 days prior to start
- COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation collected for tracking
- Two supervisory references within 1 year
- Employment application/resume within 30 days of start
- Verification of previous 5 years of work history
Facility Specific Notes
- Scrub color: Navy blue (pink for trauma), pediatric staff may wear child-friendly tops with navy blue pants
- Dress code: Business casual for some departments; no jeans, no open-toe shoes, no sleeveless tops, no shorts
- Passport-style photo required for badge
- Confidentiality agreement and job description must be signed prior to start
- Security ID application must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
