Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary

• Provide respiratory care at a clinically competent to proficient level.
• Care for patients with emergency, acute, and intensive care needs with minimal guidance.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership by contributing to standards of care and department goals.
• Work under the direction of physicians/clinicians and follow organizational policies and respiratory care guidelines.
• Serve as a role model and preceptor for new staff, and participate in efforts to enhance respiratory care knowledge.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric respiratory care experience.
• Education: Associate’s degree with a certificate of completion or technical diploma in respiratory care.
• Licensure: Valid respiratory care license in Pennsylvania.
• Certifications:

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) certification preferred within 24 months of start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Ability to use MS Office Suite.
