Job Opportunity: RN Oncology (Travel)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Description

• Administer chemotherapy (OCN certification required)
• Chemotherapy administration experience required
• Work hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• No evenings, weekends, or holidays
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
• Fit Test (annual requirement)
• MMR vaccination or positive titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years; no declinations accepted)
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and meet address requirements)

Required Experience

• Oncology nursing experience with chemotherapy administration
• Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum oncology nursing experience consistent with OCN certification (typically 2+ years)

• Completion of Ascension-specific onboarding and competency assessments, including:

  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics)
  • Ascension Epic Test-Out
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
  • Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
  • Criminal background check and employment verifications
  • Professional references (at least two)
  • Education verification
  • Confirmation of assignment documentation
  • Badge photo (white or blue background, no filters)
