Job Opportunity: ER (Emergency Room) Registered Nurse

Location: Harris, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Details

• Medium-sized facility in Southern NY, approximately 2 hours from New York City
• Emergency Department with 24-25 beds (including halls)
• NYS Designated Stroke Center
• Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1:3 to 1:5
• EMR System: EPIC
• Charge Nurse present (not assigned to travelers)
• Nurse Aides available
• Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
• Pharmacy not available 24/7
• IV team not available
• Floor-specific orientation provided

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts
• Shift options: 3pm-3am or 7pm-7am
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: rotating holidays
• Floating requirement: None

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Active New York State Nursing License in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Skills & Responsibilities

• Telemetry skills required
• Ability to read cardiac strips
• Experience with drips and ventilators
• Work alongside hospitalists
• Emergency Department serves patients of all ages

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: ER (Emergency Room)
