- Shift & Call Coverage:
- Monday to Friday call coverage including weekends
- 2 primary weekday calls (10:30 PM - 6:00 AM) in a 6-week call cycle
- 2 secondary weekday calls (10:30 PM - 6:00 AM)
- 2 primary weekend calls (12-hour shifts, either 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM) on Saturday or Sunday or both
- 2 secondary weekend calls (12-hour shifts, same times as above) on Saturday or Sunday or both
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: Yes
- Floating: No floating between units required
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License Accepted: No
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Must include RTO at time of submission
- First-Timers Accepted: Yes

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks: Must be current and cover all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; nursing degree verification mandatory for RNs
- Licenses: Must have valid state license; NURSYS verification required for RNs
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations including TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Fit mask testing required for travel nurses, updated annually
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel nurses, updated annually
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Skills Checklists: Annual updates required for applicable units
Training & Modules
- Completion of Providence-specific WorkRamp modules required prior to start, including:
- Core regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules based on unit and role
- Epic training modules (for electronic health record system)
- Annual regulatory and specialty training required for travel and per diem staff
Additional Notes
- Position includes elevated seasonal winter rate (details not included here)
- Cancellation due to rate change after signature may result in system Do Not Rehire (DNR) status
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance)
This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable with call and weekend coverage, and holding current ACLS and BLS certifications. The position offers a beachside acute care hospital setting with a 13-week travel contract.
