Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of qualified medical staff.
• Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
• Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
• Able to insert and remove IVs.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
• Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.
• Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
• ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
• ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred. If no CT license at time of hire, must obtain CT license within one year.
• CPR certification required.

Required Certifications and Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually.
• Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity required.
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions.
• TB screening within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks required.
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) attestation required if fit test is required.

Additional Requirements

• Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity.
• Strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity.
• Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
• Must provide 2 recent professional references (minimum 1 supervisor or above).
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state required.
• Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission.
• Education verification required.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Contract length is interpreted as 13 weeks.

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of radiology experience who are licensed and certified, and who meet the vaccination and compliance requirements listed above.
