Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Location: Maryville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA or ARC only; RQI acceptable)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- MS/Telemetry experience required
- Floating to other units required based on skill set
- Weekend coverage required

- Core Competency Training (Parts I, II, III) annually required
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam annually required
- Color Blind Testing for certain units (ED, Pediatric ER)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement including HIPAA (expires annually)
- State RN License Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification of all licenses within 30 days of start
Compliance & Background Checks
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Education verification required (highest level of education)
- Drug screening within 1 year of start and updated annually (5-panel minimum)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for 100% remote)
Additional Requirements
- Driver’s license required immediately upon signing for computer access and must be carried on duty
- Badge photo required (passport style, specific background and lighting requirements)
- Completion of online Cornerstone modules within 72 hours of assignment (approx. 12 hours of modules) mandatory before start
- Floating policy acknowledgment required (not for non-clinical candidates)
- Fit mask (respirator fit test) completed onsite during orientation
- Candidates must comply with Prisma Health Greenville Health System’s policies and procedures

- Facility is latex-free
