Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)

Job Description

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Population: Medically delicate and surgically complex adult patients including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
• Average Patient Load: 3 high acuity patients
• Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Epic experience REQUIRED
  • Competent in care of medical and surgical populations
  • ACLS certification required
  • Advanced hemodynamics knowledge including pressor usage per titration protocols
  • Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics
  • Familiarity with arterial line (a line), central venous pressure (CVP), external ventricular drain (EVD), orthopedic traction, infection prevention protocols
  • Experience with HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent devices
• Preferred Experience:

  • Large scale adult PCU experience
  • Community hospital ICU experience

Requirements

• Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 2 years
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Additional Notes:

  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
  • Local candidates from certain counties are not eligible as of 1/11/2024
  • Nurses may be required to float to other units
