Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Arlington, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift Schedule:
- Cascade Valley: 07:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Skagit Valley: 08:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Skagit Valley ED: 08:30 AM – 9:00 PM
Call Required: No
Floating: Primarily at Cascade Valley Hospital, with occasional float to Skagit Valley Hospital
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Years of Experience Required: 1 year
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) – check unit description for details

- Locals Allowed: Yes
- Radius Restriction: None
Background & Compliance
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required (US equivalency documentation if education completed out of county)
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- References: 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
Additional Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency Exam (required)
This position offers a travel/contract opportunity with flexible floating between facilities and no call requirements, suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.
