Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Night Shift)
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery, either directly or indirectly, following the hospital’s patient care philosophy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience in Labor and Delivery
- Licensure:
- Current RN license in the State of Rhode Island (must maintain)
- Nursys verification required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - mandatory
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred
- Skills:
- EPIC electronic medical record experience is required
- Additional Requirements:
- Fingerprinting in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
- Completion of multiple competency exams and skills checklists specific to RN and Labor & Delivery
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical exemption
- Immunizations required: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal), Varicella, Tdap
- TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA) within the last year
- Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start
- Background checks including federal, state, and national databases within 6 months of start
- Submission of professional references and employment verification for the last 5 years
- Completion of confidentiality agreements and orientation packets prior to start
