Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Required Certifications

• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• Fluoroscopy experience required
• Must be comfortable covering Xray (often the only tech at night)
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Travel duos accepted
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Department & Equipment

• Xray: 3 scanners in Outpatient (1 fluoro), 2 in ED
• CT: 1 scanner in Outpatient, 1 in ED
• Equipment: Siemens/Fuji for Xray, Siemens for CT
• EMR: Cerner
• PACS: Sectra

Job Duties & Work Environment

• Provide patient care in ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings for both Xray and CT
• Portable Xray work and surgical cases including Fluoroscopy in OR
• Float/cover Xray and CT coverage in ED, Inpatient, and Outpatient areas
• Start IVs as needed
• Average daily volume: 80 Xray scans, 40 CT scans

Scheduling & Shifts

• Day shifts: 3 shifts of 12 hours (7 AM - 7 PM)
• Night shifts: either 4 shifts of 10 hours (9 PM - 7 AM) or 3 shifts of 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Permanent schedule for staff: 7 days on, 7 days off
• Travelers typically work 4 shifts of 10 hours, Wednesday through Tuesday
• Weekend requirement: every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Holiday rotation may be required

Additional Information

• No scrubs provided; no specified scrub color
• Department orientation: 1 week in CT and 1 week in Xray with skills evaluation
• Lead Tech available for supervision
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on staff
• Radiologist coverage until 10 PM onsite, then remote overnight
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Previous employment with the facility requires a 6-month gap before reapplying

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of CT and fluoro experience who are comfortable working independently, including night shifts and weekend rotations.
