Job Description

As an RN in the Operating Room, you will provide safe, therapeutic, and individualized nursing care to patients and their families. Responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive nursing assessments and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implementing and adapting nursing interventions that are age and culturally appropriate.
• Evaluating patient and family progress toward goals and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Identifying and addressing patient and family educational needs using adult-learning principles.
• Advocating for patients and families to ensure participation in decision-making and uphold their rights.
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Delegating tasks appropriately within the scope of practice of other healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Licensure: Valid California RN license required.
• Certifications: CPR certification required; strong circulating experience preferred.
• Experience: Must have experience in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgery.
• Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume at least standard experience for OR nursing with ortho, neuro, and robotics expertise.
