Job Opportunity: RN (Registered Nurse)

Location: Show Low, Arizona
Specialty: Med Surg/Tele RN (MS2)

Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: 24-bed MedSurg with Telemetry capability on all beds (heavy on Telemetry)
Patient Population: Adults only (Pediatrics assigned to permanent staff)
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Nurse to Patient Ratios:
- Day: 1:5
- Night: 1:6
Float: Required to all MedSurg units and ICU (taking MedSurg overflow patients)
EMR System: Sunrise Allscripts
Support Staff: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, PCTs
Additional Onsite Support:
- Hospitalist 24/7
- Respiratory Therapist 24/7
- Pharmacy 24/7
IV Team: None
Scrub Color: Any color except all black (scrubs not provided for 12-hour night shifts)

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing
Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA) - Required
- BLS (AHA) - Required
- NIHSS - Required
- PALS - Preferred
Skills: Strong neuro and cardiac skills required

Additional Information

36-hour guarantee with up to 3 cancellations allowed
Nurse managers do not provide direct patient care but perform rounds
