Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Oncology)
• Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Start Dates Available: Multiple ASAP start dates in January and February
• License Requirement: Wisconsin or Compact Nursing License
• Experience Required: Previous Oncology Clinic experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Locals accepted at a lower rate

Certifications & Competencies Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions; must be renewed annually
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam – as applicable
• Color Blind Testing – required for dialysis/kidney center roles (online test acceptable)
• Competency Exam – as applicable to specialty

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start (for inpatient RNs, one must be from most recent acute care assignment)
• Annual skills checklist required
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start
• Possible video interview depending on candidate eligibility
