Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Critical Care Registered Nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient condition and implementing care plans
- Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
- Assisting physicians with procedures
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilator/IABP)
- Administering IV fluids and medications
- Suctioning
- Collaborating with the critical care team
- Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
- Acting as patient advocate
- Educating and supporting patient families
- Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
- Potentially serving as case managers, policy makers, or performing administrative duties
Requirements
- Must have ventilator and tracheostomy experience
- Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Must have a Washington RN license or multi-state RN license
- Required to float to LTAC units depending on census
- Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care nursing
